W. Peter Elliott was born in Toronto,
Ontario. The second of three sons, he and his brothers were raised by their
parents in the suburban community of Don Mills. Summers and Christmas vacations
were spent in the northern mining community of Kirkland Lake with his maternal
grandparents. Upon graduating with a diploma in Business Administration from
Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, he embarked on a career as a marketing
representative in the fashion textile industry. This eventually led him to
Montreal, Quebec, where he lived from 1977 until 1992. During this period he
was also involved with community theatre and fund-raising for children's
medical and nutritional needs in Montreal and third-world countries. He married
in 1991 and eventually relocated to Kingston, Ontario. A true believer in the
magic of Christmas, he is currently, as always, preparing for next Christmas.
